Did you know that over a third of the UK’s emissions of greenhouse gases come from businesses? Well we did, and that’s why here at Green Pebble we not only work to make all of our activities carbon neutral, we actually aim to go one better and make a positive contribution to combating climate change.
Like many businesses, most of our emissions come from transport and the use of electricity for lighting and powering office equipment. To reduce our environmental impact we do the following things:
We know that we can always try to do more to reduce our environmental impact and have produced a corporate Carbon Management Strategy to help us with our objectives. Over the coming year some of the things that we plan to do include:
In addition, all members of staff have a tree dedicated to them through The Woodland Trust when they join Green Pebble. By doing this we help to support projects which protect our native woodlands here in the UK, as well as arranging tree plantings. Did you know that a tree can absorb up to 730kg of carbon dioxide in its lifetime? This is equivalent to approximately 2,000km of car travel and so supporting tree-planting initiatives helps to offset our employee’s emissions from the start of their Green Pebble career.

We strongly believe in supporting a wide range of large and small-scale environmental projects. Some of the charities and initiatives we support are detailed on our partnerships page.
If you know of an environmental event or organisation that could benefit from our support we’d love to hear from you. Call us on 01945 700064 or email info@green-pebble.com and we’ll get straight back to you.
We specialise in energy efficiency and renewable energy, in particular, providing Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for inclusion within Home Information Packs (HIPs) and offering environmental consultancy services to individuals, businesses and local authorities.
